NATIONAL WHITE CANE SAFETY DAY
National White Cane Safety Day is observed annually on October 15.
Since 1964, White Cane Safety Day has been a national observance in the United States. This day has been set aside to celebrate all of the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and tool of independence, the white cane.
